A Creative Adventure

After so many years of serious drought and grasshopper plagues, we just about forgot what green grass looked like.  This year the fields are full of tall grass.  The cows can't keep up with it.  When they sun on lazy afternoons, they seem to disappear.  They are so fat they waddle.  There is no way that they can keep up with the grass.  2014 on the left and 2015 below:
The grass is even taller than this now.
Spring is here and the homestead is getting a do-over.  As I was cleaning out the next to last of the raised beds, I ran into a little problem.  There were two baby rabbits hiding in the tall grass.  Shocked and out of time I just turned to leave them there.  Pretty stupid, I guess.  I will try again tomorrow.  I'll need my short handled hoe so I can chop through the grass in the bed.  I can tell you this, I hate grass in raised beds.  I've got a thistle growing in the last raised bed needing to be cleaned.  Yuck.  I don't know which I hate worse--grass or thistles.  Anyway it all goes tomorrow.  I have also been working on my Fairy Garden.  Here is a new addition to that garden:

Then I decided to crochet one for myself.  Take a look.

I have spent a lot of time making a special birthday gift for my granddaughter.  Here is how it turned out.

Spring is also the time for the Crayfish Boil.  Take a look at the fun!!

If it is May, it is birthday time.  This year the birthday went on and on for a couple of weeks.  So much fun!  Take a look.

Easter 2013 was a very happy occasion.  Look at the cuties all dressed up.
